Hostgator have started to do advertising within there reseller control panels using affiliate links. while some people see this as a bad idea others think it is exellent marketing. Hostgator is known for doing some other things like this check the 404 pages on hostgator.
As you can see these really dont intrude on the user and are also not shown on there clients cpanel. So what is it that people are getting upset about. Well some just don’t like hostgators practise as they think if it is paid for hosting no adverts should be shown. Personally i think there great and are also helpfull especially adbrite which is a great marketplace.
